Scholarship Honoree

The Hershey Lions were proud to present their annual scholarship this year to a graduating student from Hershey High School. Anton Aluquin is this year’s recipient of a $1000 scholarship. He exemplifies the spirit of volunteering and service that is the foundation for this recognition. We thank him for his past service to others and wish him well as he embarks on his college career. District Environmental Photo Contest Winner

In April, the Hershey Lions voted on their club entries for the District Environment Photo Contest. This past weekend at the District Convention, the entries from all participating clubs were present for voting by attendees. The overall winner turned out to be our very own PDG Pete Van Zandt with his picture of the beautiful butterfly above. He related to everyone present that he had a lot of traveling to do to capture the picture…his very own backyard! Congratulations to PDG Pete and his award-winning entry!

5K for Trey

Our club sponsored the 5K for Trey on Saturday morning, October 12th at the Hershey Medical Center campus. There were over 100 participants, a DJ, an emcee, awards for runners, and more for the runners and walkers. This fundraiser supports Hershey Medical Center research into infectious diseases. Our own Lion Brent Schultz organized the event in memory of his son Trey whom was lost to such a tragic disease.

Annual Spaghetti Dinner

The annual Hershey Lions Club Foundation Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Sunday, September 22nd from 11am-2pm at Grace United Methodist Church in Hummelstown. We invite everyone to come support the work that we do and have a great all-you-can-eat spaghetti meal while doing it. The meal includes spaghetti, Fenicci’s DeAngelis sauce, cole slaw, role and butter, coffee, cold beverage, and choice of dessert. Date: September 22 Time: 11:00am – 2:00pm Location: Grace United Methodist Church, 433 E. Main St., Hummelstown Adults: $8.00 Children (12 and under): $5.00 Takeouts are available! Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser

The Hershey Lions Club is hosting one of our major fundraisers on Saturday, June 1st at Manada Golf Club. This supports many of our major projects and we invite you to come and participate. The event is a four-person, best ball scramble and includes greens fees, cart, drinks, snacks, door prizes, challenge prizes, and catered picnic dinner afterward. Since 1944

What We Do


The club was chartered in the fall of 1944 by local Hershey business representatives through a sponsorship from the Palmyra Lions Club. The club currently meets at Grace United Methodist Church at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
